By donating to Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Camps Program, you are investing in the lives of young burn survivors. Using physical and emotional challenges in a safe and supportive environment, camp gives the survivors a chance to realize that nothing has to stand in their way. Our program is unique because we focus on the long-term development of the camper. The week-long summer camp is our flagship program and we’ve added Winter Camp, Family Camp, Young Adults Retreat, and other programs to address additional needs for a full continuum of care. We believe that the progression through our program gives a young person the tools and skills they need to accomplish their dreams.

But without your donations, we can’t continue to run our programs and give young people the same opportunities. We invite you to be a part of this magical community of dedicated individuals who work together to change lives. And in the end, you may realize that it was your own life that was changed the most.

Unlike a writer-in-residence position when an author receives a temporary post at an academic institution a writing residency offers writers time and space away from their everyday lives in order to focus solely on reflection and creativity
